Some points in this rant are vaild, but a few things are missing…

(I believe) ALL teams in the SEC play 7 or 8 home games and only 4 road games. I know nothing about other conferences (as they are all inferior) but I would assume most teams play a majority of their games at home.

While Florida’s out-of-conference schedule was weak this year, ALL of their away games were in the SEC (a tactic LSU often uses: bring the cupcake teams to you so you can save your effort for the tough SEC away games). Fans outside the SEC have no idea what SEC road games are like, so let me tell you… They are BRUTAL. Seriously, go to any SEC game dressed in the away teams’ colors and then we can talk.

I would venture to say that the teams with high numbers of out of conference away games realized they need to go on the road and beat big teams to get noticed. Some conferences, whether fair or not, have reputations of being weak. Also, just the number of out of conference away games doesn’t mean the teams are playing GOOD teams. LSU can go up to Ruston and play LA Tech and still win by 5 touchdowns. Those numbers don’t mean much without context.

If anyone wants to hate on Florida, I’m sure as hell not going to stop them. They beat us this year. But calling them “frauds” is a bit strong, especially with weak evidence.
